What could be better on a wintery day than to lie on the hay and chew your cud?

Rudyard and Kipling have grown since we got them 4 months ago.
We heat our big old house entirely with wood. It takes alot of wood to keep both woodstoves going in the cold weather so we try to keep this shed full.
Our cat Sunny likes it, too.
This was our first snow of the winter. The sheep are due to lamb in a month or so. The Katahdin breed lambs on pasture with very little problem, or so we are told.
This is a view from down by the river looking through the pasture back up to the house. That’s Cacapon Mountain providing the dramatic backdrop. If you look closely you can see the goats in the pasture to the left of the fence post and the sheep and their hayfeeder off to the right.
